Famous from Kuru

Finnish granite is well known in the world for its high quality and usage durability. Kovakivi's Kuru Grey, Kuru Redbrown and Kuru Black are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Kuru Grey is quarried from two places, Kuru Niemikylä and Tampere Kapee village. Differences in stone varieties are utilized by custom surface treatment.

Kovakivi also refines and delivers most of Finnish stone varieties.

Kuru Grey Granite is quarried in the north side of Tampere, in areas of Kuru and Kapee. It is a famous stone as it has been in production for over a century.

Kuru Redbrown

Kuru Redbrown Granite is quarried in the north side of Tampere, in the area of Parkkuu. The stone has solidified its positions as a construction and environmental stone in Finland, Sweden and Denmark. The stone has been in production since 1970s.

Fine-grained, slightly oriented, generally thick redbrown granite. For all indoor and outdoor uses.

Kuru Black

Kuru Black Diorite is quarried in the north side of Tampere, near the Murolee Canal. The stone has solidified its positions as a construction and environmental stone in Finland. The stone has been in production since 1970s.

Stone is grayish black and there are white stripes that brighten the texture. Fine-grained and unoriented. For all indoor and outdoor uses.
